…Yes, i made that up. Its not a real disease… but it could be!  rit-xc-geneseo-invite-10-4-08-me-going-to-finish

“You don’t Listen!” Thats what the trainer told me about my leg hurting.  (It’s really NOT about hearing, because he knows i’m deaf / HOH.)  I guess this goes back to just being stubborn like a kid…. remember….

“WHAT PART OF NO DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND??” … “THE NO PART?”

If you talk to me and I seem “down” or “different,” I’m fine really. I just havnt run since thanksgiving, because I’ve been injured for a little while, but didnt know why so I kept running! (I have a “huge tolerence to pain,” as my former HS cross country coach said.)  Actually still dont have full diagnosis, but I had x-ray on Friday and just got word that the doc said it was “ABNORMAL.”  (which I’m guessing means stress fracture.) This commen in female distance runners!  I’ve been doing a lot of biking, and some swimming.  It has started feeling better and I added extra calcium to help recovery.  I will probably see doc again on Thursday, maybe can get rehab or something, but the sports trainer already said I shouldnt run for 6 weeks. (almost 2 down so far.)…. and then will have to ease back into it. It will seem like forever to me, because I’m so addicted to running, but this is probably best to allow full-healing. Oh, I can’t wait to hear what the doc says next!?

Even the Energizer Bunny and the Bionic Woman need rest…  sometimes!
