My Silenced Marathon… My Life…

Hearing with my new Freedom…

Posted by: Anne on: December 8, 2008

So, I’ve had my Freedom processor for about 3 weeks now and I keep being amazed. I sort of wish it could do the auto-sesituivity changing like the Sprint did, so now I always have to remember to change it. Last night I was talking with a friend and it was so noisy, and i forgot to move the sensitivity down, I couldnt understand anything she said! Maybe I should just always have on “noise” setting. (or more hearing friends learn sign language! its great for communication in normal-ear-blasting noisy places!) Haha, I’m sure this will improve with time for that.

I’ve been listening to my i-pod even more, and noticed being able to understand more of the words!

I talked to my parents from my cell phone for like 30 minutes! …they didnt know I was trying to listen, but was also logged into the captel website, haha! (the words on there are not exact, but it helps a lot with following a conversation)

I wore it when i was ice-skating (attempting to do so. managed 6 or 7 laps without falling, with some help of a friend.)… the music sounded sort of loud.

I havnt finished my ASL homework yet, but i finished my “listening homework” that is not due until wednesday!
